PRO-ATC-X Test Flight from London, Gatwick (EGKK) to Charles De Gaulle, Paris (LFPG)

Version 1.4 of Pro-ATC-X was recently released and I was finally able to sit down and complete a flight without any major issues.  In previous attempts, I was unable to complete a full flight but with an adjustment to some settings, I had a great flight from EGKK to LFPG.  Granted, it was a short hop across the English Channel using the Aerosoft A319-100 in the easyJet livery but all went as expected.

This morning's flight was courtesy of easyJet 8327 and we departed RWY 8R at EGKK via the SFD4Z departure route.  This flight also included authentic ATC background chatter which added to the overall environment of the flight.  The background chatter is just that, random chatter played while the program is running.  I contacted "clearance" for my flight and it was approved without issues.  After getting the passengers and cargo loaded, we taxied to RWY 8R and formed up with two other AI aircraft.  The morning skies at Gatwick were full of activity and there were two departures ahead of me along with two arrivals.  There were more jets getting ready to taxi out so we took our slot and headed over the channel.

I decided to fly at FL240 instead of the originally planned FL280 due to the short flight and the radio calls and frequency changes went off without a hitch and the radar controller authorized my reduced cruise altitude.  The co-pilot was in charge of the radios and we initialized our manual descent with a request through the approach controller.  Our descent was approved and we began our arrival toward ILS 08R via the MOPE2 transition.  For some reason, a normal standard terminal arrival (STAR) was not assigned so I was concerned things were not going to end well.  I am not entirely familiar with European operations but I added the necessary information to the A319's CDU and the automated checklists completed as expected.  The descent altitudes were given at the appropriate times and the descent, line-up, and glidescope capture completed as well.  A full "autoland" was completed on 08R and while making the approach, LFPG was alive with activity.  Multiple jets were taxiing to the active runway and there were also simultaneous departures and arrivals occurring at the airport.  All in all, this was a great flight with the only weird part being the "heavy" gate assignment at LFPG.  I parked next to a line of Air France A330's and A340's so my little A319 was definitely out of place.

The following add-ons were used for this flight:

FSX Acceleration using DirectX 10 (fixer applied)
